The KBS and KMS Learning Resource Centre celebrated the National Youth Day (the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda) on 17th January, 2023. Swami Vivekananda always urged the youth to educate themselves and emphasised on how service should be the focus of their lives. His thoughts and ideas continue to inspire the youth even today, in all walks of life. Moreover, on this special occasion, the KBS and KMS Learning Resource Centre organised an inspiring talk on ‘Reading in the World of Distractions’ by Mr. Amrut Deshmukh (author of the book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Readers.) The audience was truly inspired by Mr Deshmukh’s experiences and words of wisdom. Furthermore, symbolic of the energy and enthusiasm of the youth of today, the event was made memorable by the release of a book called Not A Love Story, authored by our 1st Year MMS student, Mr. Aayush Borulkar. Aayush shared his experiences and thoughts about his book. During the event, the KBS and KMS Learning Resource Centre also announced the Best Reader Award for the 2021-2023 batch. The library also awarded prizes and certificates to the students, who won the Book Review and Presentation competitions.
